Your Italian Greyhound’s Health Guarantee and Contract
The new puppy that you are purchasing is healthy and free of communicable diseases at the time you take possession, this is certified by interstate health certificate. If the puppy, within one week after the buyer takes possession, is found by a licensed veterinarian not be in good health (internal, external parasites, and kennel cough excluded) you must notify us within 24 hours with a written statement from the buyers licensed veterinarian. Failure to return written report within 24 hours of exam invalidates this contract. The breeder then agrees supply a replacement puppy upon return of the puppy (uninjured and unharmed) and registration papers to the breeder. A new puppy will be given only upon receipt of the report from a licensed veterinarian and with the return of the puppy. THE BREEDER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY veterinary OR SHIPPING EXPENSES INCURRED.
The parents of all our puppies have had the following health evaluations and testing.
- Hip Dysplasia
- Eye Clearance
- Ear Clearance
- Patellar Luxation
Puppy is guaranteed for two weeks from the date and time you, the buyer, takes possession only against infectious diseases such as parvo virus, corona, or distemper. Any parasitic infection is common with puppies and is considered incidental in this contract.
Your new puppy is guaranteed to be free from congenital defects making him unsuitable as a pet for 2 years from the date of birth. If your puppy is found to have life threatening congenital defects you must supply us within 7 days of diagnosis with your veterinarian’s written report. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by another veterinarian of our choice before exchange. The puppy would then be replaced with one of equal value and same sex as soon as available. An exchange will be given only upon receipt of the puppy (uninjured or harmed) and the report from a licensed veterinarian. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred. Any shipping expenses for returning or sending the new puppy would be at the buyer’s expense.
Your puppy has been on a de-worming and vaccination schedule when you receive it. It is very important that you provide this information to your veterinarian. Worming and vaccinations, including yearly boosters, must continue on a regular basis or contract is void.
Any defamation of the breeder, the breeders show or breeding stock, or kennel, to any individual, attorney, veterinarian can, at the discretion of the breeder, nullify this contract.
The buyer agrees to take good care of the puppy and provide adequate food, water, housing, and medical care. The buyer agrees to follow the breeder’s recommendations regarding feeding, exercise, and general care.
Remember, puppies are babies also! They need plenty of love, rest, fresh water, quality puppy food, a warm and dry place to sleep, and exercise.
All of our puppies are sold as pets. No guarantee is made as to disposition, conformation, breeding ability. Our dogs are AKC registered, and you will receive the papers with the puppy.
We require half of the price as a deposit to hold a puppy. We must receive payment in full before your puppy will be shipped or picked up.
Breeder is bound by this agreement to original buyer only. Failure for the buyer to return a signed copy of this contract to the breeder within 24 hours of receiving the puppy is to be considered a validation and binding agreement.
Any litigation between the buyer and the seller will take place in the home state of the breeder.
