I want a puppy, what are my options?
There are three places to find a puppy -- a shelter, a rescue, or a breeder. There is a reason a puppy is in a shelter and you should know that reason before taking one home. Might be health problems (and you will get the bill) or behavioral problems (and you catch hell). Or a rescue, I personally can't stand the "hollier than thou" attitude of the rescue freaks. You would not believe the number of totally deserving people who email me, "I was thinking of rescuing a dog, but they insulted me or it didn't work out." And, so they chose a pure-bred, genetically sound, well-tempered puppy from a breeder. Show breeders are the only place I would even consider looking. Italian Greyhound FAQs . . .
